La Sierra University won a Silver Medal for Publication Program Improvement in the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Circle of Excellence Awards competition in 2010. The competition is open to colleges, universities, and independent schools across North America and internationally.
A team of peer-reviewers in other colleges and universities judged La Sierra’s publications against other entries on such criteria as appearance, effectiveness in reaching the audience, and use of resources. The publications La Sierra entered included its student recruitment viewbook, fact sheet, and postcard series.
The materials were produced by the Office of Communication and Integrated Marketing in cooperation with the Enrollment Services team and the university’s creative partner, The Lime Twig Group. The university won the Gold Medal in the same category for CASE’s District VII, which encompasses California, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, and Hawaii.
“We are delighted that CASE has honored La Sierra’s publications with this prestigious award,” says university President Randal Wisbey. “It is a significant achievement to be judged as excellent by peers in the field. We appreciate the efforts of our team in marketing and enrollment as we work to make the university widely and positively known.”
